Rachel I. Royce, 49, Fowler, passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at Canton-Potsdam Hospital.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 1st at 2 p.m. at Riverside Cemetery, Gouverneur, with Rev. James Warrington, pastor of Macomb Community Wesleyan Church, officiating. Arrangements with the Green Funeral Home, Gouverneur.
Rachel was born in Gouverneur on February 8, 1968, the daughter of Alton and Jane Adamo Royce.
She graduated from the Rome School for the Deaf and had lived in the Gouverneur area most of her life.
Rachel was a homemaker and a loving mother, spending much of her time raising her daughter. She also enjoyed being outdoors and taking long walks.
She is survived by her daughter Shyanne Hutton, her siblings Dolores and Randy House of Balmat, Roger and Christine Royce of Edwards, Frederick Royce of Fowler, Benjamin and Donna Royce of Ogdensburg, John Royce of Gouverneur, several nieces, nephews, and one aunt of Oneida, Sally (Alan) Hall.
Rachel is predeceased by her parents and two brothers Michael Royce and baby Darrell Royce.
