Clay F. Bressette
Clay Bressette, age 57, of Edwards, passed away on June 16, 2017 at his home under the care of Hospice of St. Lawrence Valley and his loving family and friends.
Calling hours for Clay were on Thursday, June 22 from 2p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at French Funeral Home in Edwards. His funeral service will be on Friday, June 23 at 11a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Reggie Curtis officiating. Condolences may be shared online at www.frenchfuneralhome.com
Clay is survived by his wife of 28 years, Cindy (Clement) Bressette; two daughters, Cheyenne Whitford of Edwards and Sumerlyn (Janson) Dancause of Canton; two sons, Lucas and Brandon Bressette both of Edwards; a step daughter, Kimberly Delles of Brasher Falls; seven grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by a brother, Ernest Bressette and three sisters, Bonnie Drew, Beatrice Bressette and Judy Lausch.
He was born on November 10, 1959 in Gouverneur to the late Glenn And Thelma (Monroe) Bressette. He graduated from Edwards Central School in 1978 and then went and served in the United States Air Force until his honorable discharge. He worked in the New York State Department of Corrections for 26 years and retired as a Sergeant in 2012. Clay married Cindy Clement on August 19, 1989 at the Edwards United Methodist Church.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, collecting rocks with his grandchildren and spending time with his family and friends.
