Todd J. "TJ" Breckenridge, age 42, formerly of Gouverneur, passed away on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 in Michigan where he resided.
Todd was born on September 14, 1974 in Gouverneur, the son of Terry and Carol Sigourney Breckenridge.
He graduated from Gouverneur High School in 1993 and then served in the United States Navy, where he received the following medals: National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Navy Achievement Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, Bosnia Service Medal with 1 Bronze Service Star, Navy "E", Nato Medal and a Good Conduct Medal.
Todd attended Oklahoma State University following his honorable discharge from the Navy.
He married Laura Ketchmark on July 11, 1997 in Flushing, Michigan.
TJ enjoyed Oklahoma football, fishing, and hunting, especially in the UP of Michigan.
He is survived by his wife Laura, his twin daughters Kalyn and Kyla, his son Chase, all of Birch Run, Michigan, his parents Terry and Carol Breckenridge of Gouverneur, his brothers Scott and his fiance Tracy Tupper of Gouverneur, Derek and Sara of Fowler, Andrew and Melissa of Fowler, his close friends T.J. Simmons, Dickie Sawyer and Chad Fishel.
A memorial service honoring Todd's life will be held on Saturday, July 1, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church in Gouverneur with Rev. Greg Bailey officiating.  Entombment with military honors will follow at East Riverside Cemetery in Gouverneur. Arrangements are with the Green Funeral Home, Gouverneur.
