Gregory L. Dritschel

Gregory L. Dritschel, 72, passed away on Thursday, September 3, 2020 at his home in Hailesboro.

There are no funeral services and arrangements are with the Green Funeral Home, Gouverneur.

Gregory was born in Rochester on October 25, 1947, the son of Edwin and Elizabeth (Conley) Dritschel.

He received a general equivalency diploma and attended one year of college.

Greg served in the United States Army from 1965 to 1968, stationed in Germany and Vietnam, and was a recipient of a Purple Heart medal.

He worked in the Rochester area as a machinist and was a jack of all trades.

Greg moved to the north country, settling in Rossie where he lived from 1984 until 2008, more recently residing in Hailesboro.

He was a lifetime member of the national Disabled American Veterans and the Gouverneur VFW.

Greg was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, trapping, and camping. He also liked playing guitar, reading, and studying the history of Rossie.
