Kimberly Towne

Kimberly Jo Lindley (Towne), 60, passed away in Tucson, Arizona on January 11th, 2021 of a hard-fought battle with pancreatic cancer. Present by her side during this struggle were her immediate family supporting her every step of the way. Kimberly (Kim) was born on January 5th, 1961 in Gouverneur, New York to parents John and Beverly Towne, originally of Degrasse and Edwards, New York.

Kim was a graduate of Clifton-Fine High School (1978) and attended Clarkson College post-graduation. She eventually moved to Alaska to be near her family and earned both a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Management from the University of Alaska – Fairbanks and a Master of Science degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Alaska – Anchorage. She was a Licensed Professional Counselor in both the State of Alaska and the State of Arizona and touched many lives in her dedicated professional career as a behavioral health trauma specialist. Kim was a light in the world that will never be extinguished through those individuals that she has helped.

Kim loved to read and write, especially poetry. She loved country music and cowboy boots, and her favorite color was pink. Her beloved family was by far the most important thing in Kim’s life. She was married to the late Rick Lindley of Sterling, Alaska, and she is survived by their three adult children and their families, Alec Lindley of Soldotna, Alaska, Shannon Lindley of Soldotna, Alaska and Ryan Lindley of Spokane, Washington. Kim and was extremely proud of her two Alaskan grandchildren, Avery Lindley (age 10) and Karbon Lindley (age 5), and was very excited to meet her newest grandbaby, little Landon Kane Lindley, who was born on April 5th, 2021 to Shannon Lindley in Soldotna, Alaska.

Kim is also survived by her parents John and Beverly Towne of Edwards, New York/Tucson, Arizona and her siblings Bettina Chastain (Towne) of Anchorage, Alaska, Penny Towne of Tucson, Arizona, Susan Harp (Towne) of Sahuarita, Arizona, and Christopher Towne of Soldotna, Alaska, as well as their significant others and many nieces and nephews, which she adored.

Graveside funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 26th, 2021 at 11 am at the Gates Cemetery in South Edwards, New York with a celebration of life to follow at the Edwards Fire Hall.
