Roger H. Young

Roger H. Young, 78, passed away on Friday, January 6, 2023 at Gouverneur Hospital.

There will be no funeral services. Arrangements are with the Green Funeral Home, Gouverneur.

Roger was born in Gouverneur on February 15, 1944, the son of Stanley and Catherine (House) Young.

Following graduation from Gouverneur High School, Roger served in the United States Army for two years.

He married Linda M. Foote on November 23, 1968 at the Gouverneur First Presbyterian Church.

Roger worked at Gouverneur Talc for over 30 years, retiring in 2008.

He had enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Roger is survived by his wife Linda, his children Amy Petrie and her companion Dave Robinson of Lanexa, VA, Christina and Donald McIntosh of Gouverneur, Craig and Myndie Young of New Haven, several grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers Stanley and Jackie Young of Gouverneur, Janet Fuller of Alexandria Bay, nieces and nephews. Roger is predeceased by his son Scott Young, his brother Ralph Young, and his parents.
