Nancy L. Ellis

Nancy L. Ellis, 88, passed away on Thursday, October 26, 2023 at her home.

There are no calling hours or funeral services. Arrangements are with the Green Funeral Home, Gouverneur.

Nancy was born on October 13, 1935 in Gouverneur, the daughter of Floyd and Mae (Boshane) Benway.

Following high school, she worked as a telephone operator and at a comic book factory before settling in as a homemaker and a mother.

Nancy married Harry Ellis on April 30, 1955 in Gouverneur.

She enjoyed yard sales, collectibles, and going shopping.

Nancy is survived by her husband Harry, her children Chris, Steven, Melodie, Lori, and John, her grandchildren Kaitlyn, Taylor, Austin, Annah, Angela, and Michael, her great grandchildren Hudson, Zander, and Mya, her sister Patricia Flight, nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents Floyd and Mae, and her brother Henry Ernestine.
