Marguerite H. Hall, age 91, of Gouverneur, passed away on July 8, 2026 at home under the care of her loving family and hospice.
At her request, burial will be held privately in Maple Grove Cemetery in Richville. Arrangements are with French Funeral Home in Gouverneur. Condolences may be shared online at www.frenchfuneralhomes.com.
Marguerite was born on June 24, 1935 in Ogdensburg to the late Raymond and Mary Edna (O’Hara) Felt. She attended Hammond Central School and earned her GED in 1975.
Marguerite married Arlie J. Hall on June 21, 1953 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Rossie officiated by Father Burnette. The couple owned and operated a farm on Morrison Road in Gouverneur for over 50 years. Marguerite also worked as the Gouverneur Town Clerk for many years. Mr. Hall passed away on March 15, 1995.
Marguerite loved spending time with her family. She was a member of the North Gouverneur United Methodist Church and St. James Catholic Church.
She is survived by her children, Stephen (Tina) Hall, Michael (Joani) Hall, William (Linda) Hall, and Laurie (Joseph) Weekes, six grandchildren, Cory Hall, Jessica Hentz (Jake Serviss), Curtis Hall (Bev Martin), Jacob (Felicia) Hall, Anthony Hall, and Talan (Rinnan) Weekes, twelve great-grandchildren, Andrew Hall, Jaelyn Hentz, Trayton Hentz, Brynlee Bruce, Averie Bishop, Liberty Allen, Colten Hall, Laynee Hall, Leif Hall, Raewyn Weekes, and Calder Weekes, and many nieces and nephews.
Marguerite is predeceased by her parents, her husband, Arlie, sisters, Mary Nelson and Arleen Hollister, a son, Timothy Hall, and a grandson, Devin Ray Hall.
