Nancy (Young) Oliver, of Central Square, passed away Friday December 30, 2016 surrounded by her family.
Born in Gouverneur, on June 1, 1950, she was the daughter of John and Jessie MacTurk Young. Nancy worked at Crouse Hospital for over 20 years.
She had a love for birds, bird watching, and her dog, Barney.
She is predeceased by her father, John Young; brothers Timothy and James Young; and brother-in-law, Jack Pickard. She is survived by her husband of 21 years, Timothy Oliver; her mother, Jessie Young; sisters Judith (John) Forsythe, Kay Pickard, and Pamela (Robert) Smith; brothers, John (Donna Kestner) Young and Robert (Jeanne) Young; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A memorial service was held Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at 1 p.m. at the United Church of Fayetteville, 310 E. Genesee St., Fayetteville, N.Y. A spring burial will be in Hailesboro Cemetery, Hailesboro, NY.
