Linda Mae Young, 73, of Lanexa VA, passed away Saturday May 6th 2023 at her daughters’ home.

Linda was born in Trenton, Nova Scotia on February 3, 1950. The daughter of William and Mary Conway Foote, her family relocated to the United States in the 1960’s. Following graduation from Gouverneur High School she married Robert H. Young on November 23, 1968 at Gouverneur First Presbyterian Church, NY. Linda worked in retail stores for most of her life and she thoroughly enjoyed baking.

Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Young; her son, Scott Young and by her parents. She is survived by two daughters, Amy Petrie, and her companion David Robinson of Lanexa VA, and Christina and Donald McIntosh of Gouverneur NY; her son Craig and Myndie Young of New Haven, NY; two brothers, William and Vickie Foote of Silver Hill, AL and Donald Foote of Newport News, VA; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
