It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of William George Reddick, Jr., age 61, of Gouverneur, NY. William passed away on Sunday, April 6, 2025, from cardiac arrest in the Gouverneur Hospital. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date. Details will be shared with family and friends.
William, best known as “Billy” was born on December 8, 1963, to the late Mary Jane (Cheeseman) and William George Reddick, Sr. He is the youngest of his siblings. Billy attended Gouverneur High School, Onondaga Alternative School and Hartnell Community College. Billy worked for his father’s construction company, Reddick and Sons, until he branched off and started his own construction company specializing in masonry. There he taught many young men the trade so they could provide for their families.
Billy married Paula Sueanne Love of Syracuse, NY on April 14, 1984. Billy and Paula were married for 32 years (divorced), during which they raised 3 beautiful daughters together: Sara Jane (Nicholas) Krupper of Seattle, WA, Savanna Lee (James) Cowart of El Paso, TX and Nickola Samara (Justin) Tremblay of Massena, NY. He was a member of the Bricklayers Union and an exceptionally talented and hard worker who prided himself on providing for his family. Billy was a dreamer, an artist, and car enthusiast. He loved his dogs, music, working on his property, playing with heavy equipment, golfing, fishing, anything to do with cars and racing. He spent countless hours racing and even became a BMW Racing Instructor. Billy loved working with his hands and lived for family vacations and summertime.
Surviving him is his former spouse, Paula Reddick; former mother-in-law, Linda Love, his children, Sara Krupper, Savanna Cowart, Nickola Tremblay and Jade Porter; two brothers, Ronnie John Reddick, Robert James “Rob” Reddick; a sister, Harriet Jane (James) McGirr; one brother-in-law, Jerry Abrantes; two former brothers-in-law, Tommy Love, Dana Love; five grandchildren, Lincoln Krupper, Logan Krupper, Nora Krupper, Aurora Tremblay and Dean Tremblay and many nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his parents; former father-in-law, Thomas Royal Love; three brothers, Robert John, Richard Timothy, and William Thomas; one former brother-in law, John Love; one sister, Jenny Lynn.
Billy had a big and kind heart; when he was in a good mood, he lit up the room and made sure everyone had fun and felt loved. Billy lived to be the life of the party. Often living for the now, listening to his music too loud and dancing. He carried his child-like energy and joy into these moments and these moments shaped his relationships. Although he suffered from depression and carried his demons, he tried his best and loved the only way he knew how. Billy has left a hole in our hearts and will be greatly missed. We will focus on remembering all the good times we had with him. Please share your kind thoughts and memories of him while we get through this tough time.
