Ann M. Morse

Ann M. Morse, 66, passed away on January 27, 2026, at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg, Virginia.

Formerly of Gouverneur, Ann was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Genevieve (Liscum) Morse. She was born on June 5, 1959, and graduated from Gouverneur High School, Ann worked various jobs locally, A cashier for P&C Foods and Nice & Easy. She also was a bus driver for many years. She was always willing to fix something, drive someone to an appointment, or babysit a niece or nephew. She had many hobbies such as crocheting, crafting, doing puzzles, watching soap operas but her most recent and most loved hobby was creating dragonfly crafts and fishing with Rodney.

In 2013, Ann moved to Virginia and found the love of her life and a place she called home. She became a member of the Micah Ecumenical Ministries in Fredericksburg, Va., and was well-loved by her friends and family she met along the way.

Ann is survived by her fiancé Rodney Hunter of Fredericksburg, Va., sisters Sue Ayen of Oxbow, and Mary Jane Brundage of Carthage, a brother Steve Morse of Gouverneur, and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, her son Andrew Morse, and a brother Deacon Lawrence Morse.

Ann’s family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the Micah Ministries community and to Rodney Hunter for their compassionate care, friendship and love they gave to her.
