Linda Lee Hall Churkoo, 46, passed peacefully into the arms of her Lord on April 6, 2026 at the Hospice of Jefferson County in Watertown, surrounded by her mother and the devoted nurses who cared for her.

Born at Sharon Hospital in Sharon, Connecticut, Linda was the beloved daughter of Pastor Linda and Ernest E. McEathron of DeKalb Junction, N.Y. She grew up in Dover Plains, N.Y. where she attended Dover schools and developed an early interest in technology. That passion guided her professional life; she worked in several retail settings before spending the past 12 years as an online help specialist with Amazon.

Linda was known for her radiant smile – one that could brighten any room – and for the deep love she held for her family. Her warmth, humor, and generous spirit touched all who knew her.

She is survived by her parents; her brothers, Douglas J. Hall (Laura) of Middleburgh, N.Y. and Ernest McEathron III of Georgia; her sisters, Deena Calliham of South Carolina and Deanna Stevens of Georgia; her two sons, John Patrick Shields III of Poughquag, N.Y. and Devon Austin of Alabama; and her nephew and niece, Drew D. Hall and Keira J. Hall of Middleburgh, N.Y.

Linda’s family and friends will remember her as a woman of faith, resilience, and boundless affection.

There will be calling hours for Linda on Saturday, April 11, 2026 from 11:00-12:00 at French Funeral Home, Gouverneur with her funeral immediately following at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
