Leonard R. “Lennie” Rose, 81, Palm Bay, Florida originally from Theresa, NY passed away unexpectedly and peacefully on April 2, 2026.
Lennie was born January 17, 1945 in Theresa, NY to Arthur and Frances Rose, the fifth of nine children. He graduated from Indian River Central High School in 1962.
Lennie built a life defined by hard work and dedication. He spent many years as a long haul truck driver before continuing his career as an Operations Manager at Atlantic Building Materials, where he was respected for his reliability and strong work ethic until his retirement.
Above all else, Lennie was a devoted family man. He found his greatest joy in spending time with his beloved wife of 61 years, Tanya, and in being surrounded by his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Tanya, his daughters Teresa (Bruce) Archer, Shyanne (Thomas Paige) and a son Dean (Jodie) Rose, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will carry his memory forward. He is also survived by sisters Doris Knowlton, Judy Peck, and Sue Rose all of Gouverneur, NY; brothers Larry Rose, Evans Mills, NY, and Fred (Natalie) Rose, Clayton, NC. He was predeceased by his parents, Arthur and Frances Rose, a sister, Margo Rose and brothers Frank Rose and Richard “Dick” Rose.
A private family gathering was held in Palm Bay, Florida to honor his life. He will be greatly missed by all.
