Timothy J. Geer, age 58, of North East, PA and formerly of Gouverneur, NY, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, April 30, 2026.
There will be calling hours for Tim on Saturday, May 9, 2026 from 10:00-12:00 at the Gouverneur Elks Lodge. His funeral service will immediately follow at 12:00 p.m. There will be a Celebration of Life to follow at Mullin’s Restaurant. Arrangements are entrusted to French Funeral Home, Gouverneur. Tim was born on November 29, 1967 in Gouverneur, NY to James and Judy (Link) Geer. He graduated from Gouverneur Central School in 1986, and then entered into the United States Army, where he served until his honorable discharge in 1988. Tim began his employment following in his grandfather’s footsteps working at Gouverneur Talc until they closed in 2008. He proudly established and worked for B&M Home Repair before moving to Pennsylvania and working for Port Erie Plastic until his passing.
In his free time, Tim enjoyed traveling and being with his family; he loved spending time with his grandchildren most of all. He loved his faithful Golden companion, Axel; he was a big Syracuse and Buffalo Bills fan; he enjoyed watching NASCAR, especially Dale Earnhardt Sr. Tim was a member of the Porcupine Hunting Camp; and he loved tinkering and was often working on projects. He was always smiling, upbeat, and had a positive attitude on life.
Surviving are his two children, Meggan and Eddie Anson, Brandon and Kenisha Geer; five grandchildren, Noah, Hank, Taya, Reese Anson and Milo Geer; the mother of his children Sherry Geer; his father, James Geer; three sisters, Amy and Charles Patton, Tina and David Fuller and Alicia and Shawn Mead; several nieces and nephews; his fiancé, Boneta Borrero, and her children that he loved as his own, Jaimie and Brian Schaff, Jeremy Borrero and Taylor Deane, Janelle and Steve Soeder, Justin and Lindsey Borrero along with many grandchildren whom he loved as his own.
He is predeceased by his mother, Judy Geer and Boneta’s grandson whom Tim viewed as his own, Joelaynd Schaff.
