The Gouverneur Wildcat Varsity Football and Football Cheer senior student-athletes were feted in a recognition ceremony on Saturday, October 9 before the game against the OFA Blue Devils on the Frank LaFalce Field in Gouverneur.
The yellow carnations with blue ribbons, purchased by the Wildcat Booster Club and provided through Emily’s Florist in Gouverneur, were presented to the 16 senior student-athletes as follows:
The following senior student-athletes on the 2021 Gouverneur Wildcat Varsity Football Team were recognized: Carter Baer (accompanied by his parents Joel and Denise Baer), Nolan Reynolds (accompanied by his father, Chad Reynolds, and his sister, Mackenzie Reynolds), Sullivan Rumble (accompanied by his parents Jamy and Patricia Rumble), Kyle Savage (accompanied by his parents George and Kerri Savage), Jacob Sheen (accompanied by his parents Jason and Billie Sheen), Landon Shinski (accompanied by his parents Michael and Karen Shinski), Harrisville Central Student Matthew Smith (accompanied by his father, Zach Smith), Matthew Spilman (accompanied by his parents Dave and Patti Spilman), Caden Storie (accompanied by his parents Brandon and Valerie Storie), Trayton Tupper (accompanied by his parents Bill Tupper and Jamie Jenkins), Gabriel Wainwright (accompanied by his parents Michael and Gidget Wainwright), Connor Wood (accompanied by his parents Cory and Sarah Wood).
Also recognized were the Wildcat Equipment Managers Alexis Devlin (accompanied by her parents Sean and Stacey Devlin) and Katelyn Clancy (accompanied by her parents Patrick and Shelley Clancy).
Two senior student-athletes on the Gouverneur Wildcat Varsity Football Cheer team were also recognized: Hailey Cook (accompanied by her parents Andrew and Katrina Cook), Madison Kurdziel (accompanied by her parents Michael and Lynn Kurdziel).
Many words of congratulations from the Gouverneur Wildcat community were extended to the senior student-athletes on the occasion.
